Mycologists at MagicMyco developed Golden Hawk magic mushrooms by crossing Golden Teacher (GT) and Penis Envy mushrooms sometime in 2020. Considering that they share genetics with Penis Envy, it’s no surprise Golden Hawks are one of the most potent strains around.

Golden Hawk Appearance

The Golden Hawk strain typically has a round caramel to dark brown cap, and thick yellow-white stems. Unsurprisingly, it bears a similar resemblance to Golden Teacher mushrooms–one of its mother strains. However, based on growing conditions and genetics, the cap and stems can vary in size.

When dried, Golden Hawks will lose most of their volume and may darken in colour. If you notice light-to-dark blue spots, this is normal and not a cause for concern. The chemical reaction between psilocybin and oxygen in the air causes the bruising. It’s as simple as harvesting, transporting, or handling the mushrooms.
