Yeti History
The story of the Yeti mushroom strain is relatively new, yet intriguing. An anonymous internet mycologist named Jik Fibs created the Yeti strain as a genetic isolation of the True Albino Teacher (TAT) strain.
Around 2017, Jik Fibs grew Golden Teachers as usual and noticed some white fruits with purple spores pop up. Taking the prints to agar, Jik Fibs found the variety produced brown and white caps with purple spores.
Surprisingly, Jik Fibs also found white gills and when swabbed, the spores turned out to be translucent. Isolating these traits resulted in True Albino Teachers. Continuing to isolate the TAT variant, Jik Fibs found a few interesting mutations. The result? The potent, high-yielding Yeti strain we know and love today.
Yeti mushrooms belong to the Psilocybe cubensis family and remain one of the best strains of psychedelic mushrooms.
Yeti Mushroom Appearance
Resembling the legendary Abominable Snowman, Yeti mushrooms stand out with their all-white appearance and size, giving the impression that they’re as wide as they’re tall.
Yeti magic mushrooms are not your average shroom—they’re probably the thickest ones you’ll ever encounter. The thick white stems and round white caps are telltale signs of their albino background. Dried mushrooms normally shrink during the drying process, but Yeti mushrooms still retain their massive size.
Mixed into its snowy white colour may be light or dark blue spots. This is called “bruising” and it’s completely normal. Bruising occurs when the psilocybin within magic mushrooms reacts with the air during harvest, transportation, or handling. These blue spots do not diminish the potency or safety of the shrooms.
Magic Mushroom Benefits
Yeti magic mushrooms, much like other varieties of psychedelic fungi, contain psilocybin, an active ingredient known to induce euphoric audiovisual experiences. But there’s more to shrooms than just a trip into the cosmos. As it turns out, research is pointing to some serious potential for them as alternative treatments for anxiety, alcohol and nicotine dependency, depression, cluster headaches, and PTSD. This new, promising avenue can dramatically change how we approach mental and behavioural health conditions.
However, we want to emphasize that positive therapeutic results don’t mean that you should use magic mushrooms to replace your current treatment plan.
Yeti Mushroom Effects
Magic mushrooms can be intense; never underestimate how powerful they can be. The Yeti mushroom strain is no exception to this rule. Drawing from the most potent TAT genetics, Yeti mushrooms are known for their incredible potency and strong psychedelic effects. You’ll be in for mind-blowing open- and closed-eye visuals featuring vivid colours and a kaleidoscope of geometric patterns.
Get ready to laugh and enter a state of pure euphoria and relaxation. Users report feeling a deeper connection to Mother Earth, stronger visual and auditory hallucinations, and more mental clarity compared to other strains of psychedelic mushrooms.
A magic mushroom trip can last three to six hours, though you may feel the effects for even longer. Do not operate any motorized equipment. Clear your schedule for the day or night, so you can fully surrender to the magic of Yeti mushrooms.
Yeti Mushroom Recommendations
Preparing to take Yeti magic mushrooms? Your set (mind) and setting (environment) can mean the difference between a good and bad trip. Check in with yourself mentally and physically—are you feeling stressed, depressed, or angry? Think intentionally about what you want to get out of your mushroom experience, but don’t overthink it.
Next, the environment you choose is important to minimize anxiety as the initial mushroom effects begin. Find an open space outdoors or a clutter-free environment indoors. Wherever you end up, surround yourself with positive energy and people that make you feel safe and comfortable. Take shrooms on an empty stomach or after a light snack to reduce nausea.

Mushroom Dosage
Everyone’s experience is different and yours will depend on the mushroom dosage you take. Yeti mushrooms have a high psilocybin content. We don’t recommend this mushroom strain to beginners, but if you happen to be adventurous, start low on your first trip and adjust the mushroom dosage accordingly. For advanced psychonauts, take a smaller dose than usual.
- Microdose: 0.05 – 0.25g
- Mini-dose: 0.25 – 0.75g
- Museum dose: 0.5 – 1.5g
- Moderate dose: 2.0 – 3.5g
- Megadose: 3.5 – 5.0g
- Heroic dose: 5.0g +
